It
was a sunny day. I was so excited to go to the movies, and my brother was
excited to go to the movies too. It was fun! We watched “Boss Baby”. The popcorn
was so yummy and crunchy, and I had a slushy. The movie was funny. The kid gave
the baby some beads because he thought the beads were special. I saw him go to
the toilet, and he couldn’t reach the toilet paper!

This piece of writing is a recount of what the students got up to in their holidays. We were focusing on making sure we used the main features of a recount - answering the who, what, and where questions, and putting our ideas in order. Indi added in all the necessary detail, and also used her sense of humour to make it an entertaining story to read! Keep it up Indi!
