Kereru Reading Group ~ Space Videos

Below are some videos that link to the reading that the Kereru's have been doing about Space.

This video shows the size of the different objects in space.
Earth seems pretty large right? Well let's compare it to some other planets and stars...

This animated film shows the journey of the Cassini Space Probe which left earth in 1997, and reached Saturn in 2004.

This film shows what the probe was sent to do, and how its journey ended.

Grandparents Afternoon

This week we had a lovely afternoon sharing our learning with our Grandparents and other people who are special to us.

The children rotated through the four different activities...
Making Fairy Bread and Fruit Kebabs, Creating a Photo Frame, Sharing our books and Published Works and Viewing the Science Exhibition.

Thanks to all who were able to come along, the children LOVED having you there!

Discovery Time - Exploring Brazil

This week during Discovery time we 'flew' to Brazil.

After our flight in the capable hands of Pilot Saifan, we headed off to participate in some of the activities...

This week we could choose from making Mardi Gras Masks, Making a Toucan Bird or a Hanging Snake.

World-Wide Exploration

Today our little explorers presented their findings after researching another country at home over the last few weeks.

There was obviously a lot of effort put into these presentations, and they did such a great job!

Thanks for all your help at home Mums and Dads!
