Over the past few
weeks Room 6, 7 and 8 have been looking at ways in which we can work together
to support our children on their learning journey. Our main focus has been on
settling the children into their classroom and routines. We have been busy
aligning our timetables and considering ways in which we can best work together
to meet the needs of our students. We have already grouped the children for
phonics and reading, to reflect the level they are currently working at.
We also share our
Discovery Time every Friday morning. Each week the children are given the
opportunity to take part in up to 3 teacher led activities, as well as a
variety of independent activities chosen to develop the children’s Key
Competency skills, such as relating to others, sharing and taking turns.
